What is a Cat6 crossover cable?

An Ethernet crossover cable is a crossover cable for Ethernet used to connect computing devices together directly. ( EXAMPLE: 2 computers )It is most often used to connect two devices of the same type, e.g. two computers (via their network interface controllers) or two switches to each other.

  • The Cat 5 network cable features reduced impedance and structure return loss (SRL) to ensure high performance network connection, ideally suited for use with Gigabit, Fast Ethernet, and Ethernet applications
  • The crossover cable can connect two hubs/switches together or two computers directly without the need for a hub
  • The strain relief prevents the cable from being bent at sharp angle at the connector to reduce the risk of cable damage
