which provides a 32-bit connection to your notebook, and extends the PCI bus
outside of your host computer. Our 1 to 1.5 meter flexible cable provides a
high-speed communication link between your notebook and our PCI Expansion
System.
Flexible Power Options
AC and DC-ready models are available to meet virtually any mobile
professional's needs. A 90 Watt AC power supply is standard, while an optional
DC model is made to be powered off of any user supplied 12-volt DC power source
(such as a battery or car lighter adapter.)

fans provide optimal cooling to your cards and disk drives within the vented
enclosure.
Save Your Work
There
is room within the enclosure to accommodate two standard 3.5" disk drives, or a
MAGMA Firewire or SCSI Storage Kit.

MAGMA's 2 Slot Cardbus-to-PCI Expansion Systems provide
two full-length 32-bit or 64-bit PCI slots in a separate enclosure (chassis)
that connects to a PC notebook or Apple PowerBook (which do not have built-in
PCI slots) through a 32-bit Cardbus slot.?With MAGMA's patented PCI Expansion
Technology, everything installed in the enclosure actually acts as if it's
inside the notebook.
Users may select either a 32-bit or 64-bit 2 Slot
Cardbus-to-PCI Expansion System, with several different configurations to choose

Our 32-bit 2 Slot accommodates two full-length
32-bit PCI cards, and has a drive bay specially designed so you can add internal
SCSI or FireWire disk drives.? Within the 32-bit 2 Slot System, communication
between the PCI cards along the backplane is in a 32-bit mode.
Our 64-bit 2 Slot accommodates two full-length
64-bit PCI cards, and also has a drive bay specially designed so you can add
internal SCSI or FireWire disk drives.?Although communication to the host
computer with be in a 32-bit mode, communication inside the expansion system is
available in 64-bit mode, thus enhancing various
applications.
In addition, for our users who require true "go
anywhere" portability, MAGMA offers the 2 Slot Cardbus-to-PCI Expansion System
in a DC-ready format.?MAGMA's DC models are made to be powered off any
user supplied 12-volt DC power source (such as a battery or a car lighter
adapter).?DC models have an XLR-4 power connector and are shipped with a 100W AC
power brick, for those occasions when AC power is available.
