Dual Armature Driver Design
The full-spectrum sound of the IE-30 reference earphones owes much to the use of two separate compact armature drivers for high/mid and bass frequencies. The audio crossover network routes each frequency of your music to the appropriate driver. Factor in the 26dB of isolation from outside noise and you'll never use run-of-the-mill earbuds again for anything-ever.

Monitor Anywhere
Use IE professional reference earphones instead of traditional stage monitors. Monitor click and backing tracks live. Use them in the studio for ultimate comfort. They're also the perfect companions for mobile recording gear like M-Audio's popular MicroTrack 24/96. And, of course, IE reference earphones raise the bar for critical listening on the go.

Universal Fit Kit
The included universal fit kit ensures comfort for your ears for hours of listening pleasure. It includes an assortment of ear tips in different sizes and materials for a personalized fit and optimal isolation. Superior sound isolation helps protect your ears because you don't have to crank up the volume to hear the detail in your music.

Professional Ear Loops
The hanging cables in traditional designs incur tension that yields loose seals and ultimately causes the buds to pop out altogether-not to mention catching on nearby objects. All IE models feature professional-style loops that hook over and behind the ear to minimize that problem. And if your 46" detachable cable ever does become damaged, simply replace it instead of your earphones.

Included Airplane Attenuator/Limiter
The IE-30 earphones include an airplane attenuator/limiter that conditions the high sound output of in-flight movie and music channels down to a comfortable listening level. The limiting function even spares your ears during loud in-flight announcements.
