Description

The MQA offers one ADAT input and one ADAT output on the rear, and is connected to 4 sources and 4 destinations of the matrix inside the DMX16 or DMX32. The MQA detangles the ADAT "lightpipe" signal into 4 stereo pairs (1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8) which appear in the matrix as 4 sources. Each stereo pair can be routed to any destination in the matrix, whereby CONSUMER or PROFESSIONAL format can be selected individually for each stereo pair. Four stereo pairs with different formats (S/P DIF or AES/EBU) and even with different sample rates can be routed to the MQA module and are merged into one ADAT "lightpipe" signal. The four sample rate converters on the MQA module are synchronized from the ADAT input on the MQA module or can be bypassed if sample rate conversion is not needed.
