FM produces dynamic voices that evolve and change timbre with different velocities. These kinds of sounds are not possible with PCM based architectures.

912 preset voices plus 64 user locations pre-loaded with the original DX7 voices. Adds 16 notes of polyphony to the synthesizer it is installed on.The Polyphony extension feature increases polyphony when multiple PLG150-DX boards are installed.

Capable of bulk reception of voice data, including all voice data made for the DX7.

Comes with DX Easy Editor for simple voice editing and DX Simulator for detailed editing.
