Earthworks M23 Measurement Microphone

Earthworks M-series microphones have become the accepted standard for reliable measurement and reference. They are accurate in the time and frequency domain and have exceptionally uniform polar response. They feature flat free-field frequency response, fast impulse response, and are remarkably stable with respect to temperature changes, meeting or exceeding Type 1 specifications.

The M Series measurement microphones are used and recommended by SMAAR, MLSSA, Spectrafoo, TEF, RTA in addition to acoustic measurement systems manufactured by dbx, Loud Technologies, DEQX and others. Consultants and engineers have been asking for a high quality, lower cost version of the popular M30. The Earthworks M23 Measurement Microphone is the answer to this request. The Earthworks M23 Measurement Microphone provides a frequency response from 9Hz to 23kHz, and will handle 142dB SPL. In comparison, the M30 offers a frequency response from 5Hz to 30kHz. The Earthworks M23 Measurement Microphone also has a shorter body than the M30. The Earthworks M23 Measurement Microphone is a direct replacement for the Earthworks manufactured model S-30 SMAART microphone, which has been historically offered by Loud Technologies, Inc. The Earthworks M23 Measurement Microphone comes in a sturdy foam-lined case with its own individual calibration chart. For those who desire calibration files to interface with their software, these are available for a nominal cost (from Earthworks.com only). The Earthworks M23 Measurement Microphone requires standard 48V phantom power for operation. The M23 is the ideal choice for those who desire a high-quality reliable measurement microphone for room measurements and sound system setup.
