Includes:
two wired lavalier mics, the FR-355K Interview kit includes:
  • (1) FR-350 Omni Lavalier mic with 6 mm capsule
  • (1) FR-351 Cardioid Lavalier mic with 8mm capsule
  • 2 high quality FET mic pre amps,
  • Terminated with 3 pin XLRM connectors.
  • 2 lavalier mic clips,
  • 2 foam windscreens

The microphones in the MXL FR-355K kit were designed with high quality FET pre-amps to ensure outstanding audio quality even under the most demanding conditions.

The FR-355K kit contains 2 different microphones. The FR-351 cardoid mic has a 8mm capsule, while the FR-350 omni mic has a 6mm capsule.

These lavalier microphones require 48v phantom power to operate.
They are both supplied with foam windscreens and clips.


The MXL FR-355K Lavalier Kit is a pair of lavalier microphones, one with a cardioid and one with an omnidirectional polar pattern. It is intended to provide the user with options for interviews, instrument capturing, presentations and other applications.

The cardioid pattern microphone yields a generous pickup area while maintaining adequate feedback and noise rejection at the off-axis section of the capsule. The omnidirectional polar pattern microphone provides a uniform frequency response at the direct and off-axis sections of the capsule, and is noted to reject clothing, contact and handling noise more efficiently.

The lavalier pair of mics both require phantom power, feature XLR output connectors and include a windscreen and clothing clip. The modestly priced kit is an ideal solution for in studio interviews, instrument capturing and more.

Omnidirectional Polar Pattern
The lavalier mic with the omnidirectional polar pattern provides a uniform frequency response at the direct and off-axis sections of the capsule, and is noted to reject clothing, contact and handling noise more efficiently.
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The lavalier mic with the cardioid pattern yields a generous pickup area while maintaining adequate feedback and noise rejection at the off-axis section of the capsule.
