iLok Authorization Guide by Pro Audio Solutions

There are three steps to get an iLok Authorization for your product.
A. Set Up an iLok.com account if you don't have one.
B. Register your product with manufacturer
C. Register iLok USB key and download your license in your iLok key.

Here�s the Pro Audio Solutions Guide to setting up and authorize your iLok.

A. Set Up an iLok.com account if you don't have one.
  1. Go to www.iLok .com 
  2. Select the �Signup� button, on the upper left of iLok.com�s home page. This will take you to a page entitled: New account profile
  3. Fill out the Personal Information (First name,  last name, email)
  4. Fill out the Registration Information.
  5. Fill out Verification Information. Some great password questions to use are: What was the name of the street I grew up on? What was the name of my elementary school? What was the name of my favorite pet? What was my favorite band in High School?
  6. Beneath the Verification Information are three boxes to check. Under Terms and Conditions, please select the box next to the phrase: �Yes, I have read and agree to the Terms of Use� (we normally check the box next to:  �notify me with information....� box,  and do not check the box next to �allow software vendors...�).
  7. Select the �OK� button at the bottom of the web page. This will open a web page that says �Please read your e-mail to activate your account�. This page will show the email address that the activation link was sent to. 
  8. Go to e-mail box, and look for a new email from [email protected]. The subject heading will say �iLok.com Registration Confirmation�
  9. Open the message from �[email protected]
  10. The message will thank you for registering with iLok.com. This page will have several links back to the iLok.com website. Click on the link that is UNDERLINED! This will take you to a page that says �Account Activated�. 
  11. Look for the sentence that says �Congratulations! Your iLok.com account is now activated. Click on the words that say �log-in�. This will take you back to their Welcome page.
  12. Enter in your iLok.com  User ID and password.
  13. Click on the Login button. This will take you to another Welcome page.
Congratulations, you�ve just created an iLok.com account!

B. Register your product with manufacturer

C. Register your iLok key and download your licenses from iLok.com
  1. If you are still on the iLok welcome page, look for the words �Account summary� at the bottom of the page. Click where it says �Click here to manage and register your iLoks�. This will take you to a page that says �View the contents of your iLoks�.
  2. Insert your iLok into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Click on the �Synchronize� button. Your computer will now look for and identify your iLok. Sometimes you will get a window that says �External Protocol Request�, just click the �Launch application� button. 
  4. Click on the words �Download Licenses� towards the top left of the webpage.  This will take you to a page that that has a list of �Products�. These products are your licenses. Each product will have a box that you check. 
  5. Click inside the boxe(s) next to the product you want to be downloaded onto you iLok key. 
  6. Look for a box towards the bottom of the webpage that says �Select an iLok�. Click on those words and a drop down menu will appear with your iLok. 
  7. Click to select your iLok from the drop down menu. Your iLok key name should now appear in that box. 
  8. Click on the �Download Licenses� button. Your licenses will now download to your iLok key. This might take several minutes. 
  9. When all the licenses are downloaded, look for and  select �Logout� from the menu towards the top left of the webpage. 
Congratulations, you�ve just downloaded your licenses!
