Steinberg Groove Agent 6 OverviewGet everything you will ever need for drums in one smoothly designed and resizable VST plug-in, with Steinberg Groove Agent 6, a complete groove and beat-making environment, with a vast collection of fresh drum sounds, deeply sampled acoustic kits, and authentic percussion sets. Utilize five mix-ready acoustic drum kits played by session drummers, to create slamming drums with jaw-dropping realism, and make beats with a pattern editor and a huge library of modern drums samples.
There are over 1000 drag-and-drop MIDI grooves and patterns available. Groove Agent 6 is compatible with all major DAWs including:
Cubase, Nuendo, FL Studio, Ableton, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, and more. Give your kick more punch, add a second snare layer to cut through the mix, or swap out toms to define your own sound. With the powerful layering and replacement feature for kicks, snares, and toms in Acoustic Agent, you can transform any drum kit into your own signature piece. Steinberg sampled an incredible collection of acoustic drums in various sizes and materials for the new layering and replacement feature. In total, you get 15 new kicks, eight toms, and 24 snares, to create the best drum kit you've ever heard. Each of the 25 presets for Punch Kit comes with its own mix and performed MIDI styles, recorded by a professional session drummer. These include intros, outros, and multiple groove variations. Color Punch delivers a vibrant palette of drum sounds, expertly crafted for cutting-edge, modern pop production. Hard-hitting kicks, razor-sharp hi-hats, crisp percussion, and punchy snares create a dynamic rhythmic backbone—all designed to inspire and blend seamlessly with shimmering synths, gritty basslines, and unforgettable vocal hooks. MediaBay - The MediaBay is now context-sensitive, automatically filtering results based on your workflow. For example, when layering kicks, it displays only kick samples, making your search faster and more relevant. You can also filter by Agent type or explore all your Steinberg sample packs with ease, using the new Sample tab.
Pitch Detection - Analyze the pitch of your drum samples with a single click, then tune them to match the key of your song. It’s a fast and intuitive way to ensure your drums sit perfectly in the mix.
Envelopes - Now equipped with brush, pen, and eraser tools, the new shaper envelopes let you intuitively draw, tweak, and refine envelope curves with precision. Choose from a rich library of premade shapes or save your own custom designs. The all-new Shaper Mode adds rhythmic movement by cycling through envelope shapes in sync with your DAW’s tempo — unlocking a powerful new way to create tempo-synced shape-driven modulation effects on your samples
