MoPADs are designed so that they can be used to support virtually all sizes of bookshelf loudspeakers or recording monitors up to 100 lbs. each. While some smaller loudspeakers may be sufficiently supported by a single MoPAD, most require the support of two MoPADs.

No matter how good the mixing desk, microphones, preamps, cables and other pieces of gear that have been patiently accumulated, one is not truly hearing what the recordings sound like until the monitors are insulated from their environment. Depending on how the monitors are oriented (level or tilted), not all of the eight pieces will be used.
