ProAV2 Passive Stereo Multimedia DI, Radial

Radial ProAV2 Passive Stereo Multimedia DI with RCA, 3.5mm, XLR, 1/4" connectors.

2 channel DI converst -10 signal to 2, mic level signals

  • Eliminates ground loops that cause hum and buzz
  • Handles huge transients without distortion
To eliminate the need for various adaptors, both units are equipped with a 'Swiss Army' array of connectivity options including:
  • 1/4" inputs for instruments,
  • RCA -10dB
  • 3.5mm (1/8") connectors for CD players, iPods, video decks and computers.
  • female XLR input for interfacing equipment with +4dB professional signal levels.
  • The front panel connectors can also be used as thru-puts to allow multiple patch points.

The forgiving nature makes the ProAV1 and 2 perfect mates for high output devices that can easily overload typical direct boxes. Furthermore because both units provide transformer isolation, problems such as hum & buzz caused by ground loops are eliminated.

The ProAV2 is a straight ahead stereo DI that converts -10dB to mic level. For permanent installations, both units can be mounted in a podium or under a table top using the Radial J-Clamp or may be 19" rack mounted using the Radial J-Rak.

Consumer Audio to PA System
The ProAV2 is perfect for interfacing consumer audio electronics with pro PA and recording equipment. The dual phone, RCA and 3.5mm inputs on the ProAV1 sum the left and right stereo channels to a mono output.

Standard DI For Instruments
The ProAV12 works just like standard direct boxes for passive and active musical instruments like guitars, basses, and keyboards. You can thru-put the signal to an on-stage amp while transformer isolation keeps things quiet.

ProAV2: Stereo In ~ Stereo Out
The ProAV2 operates in true stereo (dual mono) making it ideal for stereo devices like computer laptops and DVD or CD players. Just like the ProAV1 you can connect with phone, RCA and 3.5mm jacks, quick and adapter-free.

The unit performs flawlessly. Everyone said that it was the best sound ever coming out of a laptop 100 feet away via a snake cable.
Thanks for the prompt delivery though the USPS to my zip code is not very reliable. It was left in the shared big package box with the key on the lock. I was just lucky to track it on the computer and hunt for it when I did not see it in my mailbox. Needless to say I was happy to have found it.
